They say that any great adventure is not so much about the destination, but more about how you get to your destination. And as MICROMINE Africa gets ready to take their December break, its interesting to look back and see everything we have done throughout the year.
The year saw MICROMINE staff travel all over, experiencing different cultures and different weather. MICROMINE staff visited, Mauritania, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Zambia, DRC, Botswana, Guinea, Indonesia, London, Turkey, Namibia, Mongolia, Spain and not to mention our head office in Perth Australia. MICROMINE Africa feels it is a privilege to travel and experience different cultures throughout the world, and it helps us better understand the people we deal with and provide world leading support to over 2000 mine sites globally. Locally we travelled across 9 provinces, assisting our clients with training and support on their operations. From the hot deserts in Northern Cape, to the rainy regions in Mpumalanga. Our team has become accustomed to travelling and if you want to read more about their adventures you can visit our travel blogs here: https://www.micromine.kz/blog/.
The year has had its struggles, with many African countries creating stricter investing climates, as well as increasing regulation around their natural resources which has seen investor confidence dip in the year. Some African countries, like Ghana and Guinea have seen an increase in interest due to large discoveries of battery related commodities. While this is positive we hope to see the trend continue throughout other commodities.
The highlights of MICROMINE Africa’s year is always going down to African Mining Indaba, where we get to catch up with all our clients after the Industry break. It’s a good way to start the year and sets the tone for an exciting year ahead.
Another highlight has been the addition of new staff throughout the year. MICROMINE Africa is growing and will keep growing in the years to come. We hope the year has been good for all our clients and their families, and we look forward to working together again in the new year to help deliver industry leading solutions, to industry leading operations in Africa.
